I recently had the pleasure of attending the Untethered workshop, and I can confidently say it was an incredible experience that exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the three educators were genuinely passionate about photography and dedicated to helping each attendee grow in their craft.
Throughout the weekend, they poured their hearts into our time together, providing personalized feedback and encouragement that made a significant impact on my skills, especially pertaining to documenting connection during motherhood sessions.
The hands-on sessions were incredible, allowing us to create a more elevated art with different techniques and styles through varied modalities. I appreciated how each educator brought their unique perspective to the table, offering a well-rounded approach to the workshop.
Overall, the Untethered workshop was a transformative experience. I left feeling inspired, equipped with new skills, and connected to a wonderful group of fellow photographers. I wholeheartedly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to elevate their photography journey! If I didn’t already have travel plans, I would definitely be attending the next one—that’s how much I loved it and adored learning from these lovely and talented women.

After spending the prior couple of years really focusing on my business, I was itching to get my creative juices flowing again.
I was at a point in my business, where I had gotten used to my workflows and processes, and wanted something that was going to help me think and see outside of the box. I think so often, we are running our businesses as an efficient machine, but that can suck the creativeness out of it. It was so refreshing to work with these ladies to see how they take their time to really look at the big picture of the session and shot and create something beautiful and intentional.
Kate, Laura and Laura were open books, willing to help and share with any questions we had. More than that, they are all incredibly kind and accepting. I definitely plan to attend another year!

What I loved most about the untethered retreat was that I came back not only inspired and sparked with creative but also with a new community of friends in the industry! We all deal with the same challenges running a creative business and it was so nice to just totally emerge myself with a group of not just talented hosts but a group of women also understanding the same challenges of running a creative business. Taking away from this retreat knowing it is okay not to be like everyone else and art is beautiful in so many different ways. Last spring, I I attended the untethered retreat and had the most amazing experience. I had no idea what to expect, but the whole experience was truly eye-opening, not only from a business standpoint, but from creativity point. Before the retreat, I felt like my work was falling flat and I was starting to uninspired. Being in the room surrounded by the most amazing educators all shooting together, talking in between shots and seeing how they worked first hand was probably my favorite part!
They also took the time to answer all of our questions teach us Photoshop, and open our eyes to new shooting techniques that I now take into every session and I feel so much more confident having these tips and tricks in my pocket. It was worth every penny of the investment and I will be forever grateful for the experience!
